    b. 11kV, 22kV and 33kV – CCT (insulated) or Underground cabling must be used in P1 fire risk areas and any other locations as determined by Essential Energy where the use of bare conductors is an unacceptable risk or cost over the asset lifecycle.

This new clause which states a MUST use of CCT in P1 areas. Can We please be supplied with a mapping system that highlights the P1 Areas of NSW so that we can allow for CCT in our budgets when preparing for Cusomters.

If we are unaware of what Essential Energy is Deeming P1 areas then we will be unable to prepare adequate concept designs and provide information to our clients regarding budgeting.

    Thanks

    Hi All

I have noticed that the Neara network models are located under the old Geodatum GDA94 instead of the latest GDA 2020?

This means that data from surveyors and Neara design plans do not align correctly when the projects are geo-located. This is quite frustrating when we need to align easements and boundaries on plans.

I have queried Neara about this and they have stated that the this is controlled by Essential Energy with their network modelling.

Will the Essential Energy network model be updated to the GDA2020 datum anytime soon?

    Thanks
