Specifications for Surveyor’s Advice Asset Location Survey Plan
What is Happening?
In addition to the updates sent to Level 1 and Level 3 ASPs on 10 and 17 October 2023, and based on feedback from ASPs and surveyors, we have formalised specifications to help Registered Land Surveyors develop Asset Location Survey Plans showing where electricity assets have been installed.
The specifications are published as Annexure F to CEOP2015 – Contestable Works Guidelines, Terms and Conditions for Contestable Works (Issue 12 is available in the Document Library from 31 October).
As a reminder, it is a requirement that the location of assets is confirmed by survey as located within an easement area or within the road reserve, and within Essential Energy’s asset allocation. It is very important that the assets are installed as per the certified design to avoid safety issues or legal disputes in the future.
Thank you to those who provided feedback and potential solutions on this matter. Essential Energy is committed to working with you to improve our processes.
What do you need to do?
- Download the latest copy of CEOP2015 Contestable Works Guidelines and refer to Annexure F from the Document Library.
