Level 2 ASPs install overhead or underground service lines between the electrical wiring on a Connection Applicant’s premise and the electricity network. This includes connecting service lines to the network and making the connection live.

  • Other useful and relevant information.

    Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved price increases for Ancillary Network Services from 1 July 2026

    What is happening?

    The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has approved Essential Energy’s new regulatory charges for Ancillary Network Services from 1 July 2026.

    As an Accredited Service Provider (ASP), Authorised Person (AUP) or Electrical Contractor (EC), please use the new charges applicable to the services you provide when preparing quotations for work to be undertaken after 30 June 2026.

    What do you need to do?

    1. Review the Price Schedule for Ancillary Network Services - 1 July 2026 available on the Essential Energy website
    2. Accredited Service Providers, Authorised Persons and Electrical Contractors should consider pricing changes when preparing quotations for customers regarding future work
    3. Communicate this information to relevant members of your organisation.

    IdentityONE Mobile app has been updated for Apple devices

    What is happening?

    The latest IdentityONE update is now available in the Apple App Store. It includes bug fixes that will improve detection of existing credentials.

    There is no change for Android users.

    If you have an iPhone or iPad, please go to the Apple App Store and manually update the IdentityONE mobile application to the latest version 2.1.33, as seen in the image.

    What do you need to do?

    1. If you have an apple device, ensure you are on the latest version of IdentiyONE.
    2. Communicate this information to relevant members of your organisation.

    Essential Energy wishes to clarify the requirements outlined in CEOP2015 - Division Procedure: Contestable Works Guidelines (Terms and Conditions for Contestable Works) 2.8.2.8 Request for Connection.

    The current issue 14 states that a minimum of 5 days’ notice is required for Live Connections, this applies only to ‘Live Work Requests.’ For Connection Requests where Essential Energy performs the live connection, connection requests must be lodged a minimum of 28 days prior to the connection date.

    1. View CEOP2015 - Division Procedure: Contestable Works Guidelines (Terms and Conditions for Contestable Works) via the Document Library.
