Essential Energy will no longer be accepting CCEWs in the Essential Connections Portal
What is happening?
From 1 March 2026, all Certificates of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) must be submitted through the Building Commission NSW digital platform, known as the BCNSW eCert portal. To support this requirement, Essential Energy will be removing the ability to submit CCEWs through the Essential Connections Portal. We will also not be accepting emailed copies from this date.
The Building Commission NSW will automatically email a copy of your CCEW to Essential Energy, when you select us as your DNSP, for our records. These are the only CCEWs Essential Energy will be accepting.
