Essential Connections and Youreka are now available to access
What is happening?
Essential Energy has updated its two-factor authentication (2FA) system from Okta to Microsoft Authenticator. You can now log in to Essential Connections and Youreka.
Accredited Service Providers or Electrical Contractors will have received an email from techconnect@essentialenergy.com.au inviting you to set up your account, please follow the instructions. If you have not received an email inviting you to set up and are an Accredited Service Provider or Electrical Contractor and require access, please contact techconnect@essentialenergy.com.au.
This change impacts how you securely verify your identity when accessing Essential Energy systems, including Essential Connections and Youreka.
What do you need to do?
- Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device (if not already installed) and follow the setup instructions provided in the email sent from techconnect@essentialenergy.com.au – or click here for instructions on the Essential Connections Support Page.
- To prevent login conflicts and session errors when using two-factor authentication across multiple systems, always open Essential Connections and Youreka in separate, isolated browsing sessions like private or incognito windows.
- Communicate this information to relevant members of your organisation.
