Delays to ASP outages due to FNC flood damage and restoration efforts

What is Happening?

Essential Energy crews are working to progressively restore power supply to our flood-impacted customers in the Far North Coast.

Record levels of flooding and torrential rain have caused extensive damage to our network and catastrophic property damage. To ensure our customers’ needs are prioritised and addressed in a safe, steady, sustainable manner, we’ve brought crews from other parts of our distribution area to work alongside local crews.

Impacts on ASP outage requests

With flood response as our first priority. ASP requests for new and rescheduled outages have been placed on hold until further notice. We ask for your patience at this difficult time.

We will update you as soon as we have a better idea of when restoration efforts will ease, and we can return to business as usual for our ASP partners.

Thank you for your compassion and understanding.
