Reminder: Essential Energy will no longer be accepting CCEWs in the Essential Connections Portal

What is happening?

From 1 July 2026, all Certificates of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) must be submitted through the Building Commission NSW digital platform (BCNSW eCert portal).

To support this requirement, Essential Energy will remove the ability to submit CCEWs through Essential Connections.

We will no longer accept emailed copies, and only CCEWs automatically emailed to Essential Energy by the Building Commission NSW when you select us as your DNSP will be accepted for our records.

What do you need to do?
