Delivering power to your community

Essential Energy delivers electricity to homes, businesses and essential services across regional, rural and remote NSW. Our teams live and work in the communities we serve, maintaining a vast network of around 183,000 km of powerlines and 1.4 million poles.

From routine maintenance like inspections, meter reading and vegetation management, to responding to extreme weather events, our crews are on the ground working to keep power flowing safely and reliably.

Simply put, we build, maintain and repair the poles and wires that keep your community connected.

Looking ahead

The energy system is changing, and we’re changing with it. We’re investing in a smarter, more flexible network to meet future needs.

Our poles and wires (once delivering electricity one way) are evolving into a two-way platform. With more rooftop solar, home batteries and electric vehicles, energy is now flowing to and from customers.

We’re upgrading our network with new infrastructure and digital technology to support this shift, while continuing to deliver safe, reliable and resilient power.

Explore how we’re innovating the network to unlock new energy opportunities or discover projects underway in your community.

Hi Robert, thank you for the question. These poles were part of a contractor job and we apologies they were left beside the Hall. We will contact the contractor now and have them moved.
