  • The Framework and Approach (F&A) is the first formal step in developing our 2029–34 Regulatory Proposal. It sets the key regulatory rules that will guide the proposal, including how certain services are classified and regulated.

We're seeking feedback on a joint consultation paper developed by Essential Energy, Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy that explores how the regulatory framework can continue to support customers as energy technologies and customer needs evolve.

Your feedback will help us understand whether the proposed approach strikes the right balance between regulated and competitive services, makes the best use of existing network assets, and delivers long-term value for customers. The insights gathered through this consultation will help inform our F&A submission to the Australian Energy Regulator and the development of our 2029–34 Regulatory Proposal.
