SAPS are being adequately sized with contingent capacity based on the particular site location and customer needs. SAPs include solar, batteries and small generators to ensure there is adequate supply.
Essential Energy is committed to ensuring customers are no worse off with a SAPS installation as with a traditional poles and wires solution. In NSW licence conditions have been expanded to include reliability targets for SAPS which Essential Energy aspires to achieve.
