We want customers, communities and stakeholders to have a clear and meaningful role in shaping our 2029–34 Regulatory Proposal.
Our engagement approach will be guided by our Regulatory Proposal Engagement Strategy which is currently being developed with input from customers and stakeholder groups. At the very heart of the Engagement Strategy are the principles and objectives that set a benchmark for how we will engage and what we are trying to achieve.
Our engagement principles
- We actively seek opportunities for engagement that can influence decisions
- We approach engagement with curiosity and an open mind
- We seek out the people impacted by our decisions and create the conditions for meaningful conversations
- We are transparent

Our engagement channels
We will continue using our existing engagement channels to help shape the 2029–34 Regulatory Proposal, while identifying additional opportunities to hear from customers and communities through targeted engagement activities and broader customer surveys.
Essential People’s Panel (EPP)
Established during our previous regulatory reset, the EPP brings together 25 residential and small business customers from across our network area. The panel provides direct customer input on priorities and trade-offs to help us understand what matters most to customers.

Essential Stakeholder Panel (ESP)
The ESP is a forum of stakeholder representatives who provide informed feedback on strategic and regulatory issues affecting customers and communities. The panel helps test ideas, challenge assumptions and strengthen the development of our proposal.
