    The battery is generally a configuration of six individual cabinets (about the size of a fridge) which are stacked back-to-back in two rows atop a concrete base.

    We're looking to install the battery towards the end of October 2024. We're placing the battery alongside some of our existing electricity assets near the roundabout of Geoghegan Drive and Gibson Street. Construction and installation will take approximately two weeks.

    What should you expect during the construction period?

    • Around three staff on site from our contractor Ventia
    • Trucks, utes and trailers, making beeping noises when reversing
    • A crane
    • Traffic control when lifting batteries into place
    • Use of power tools
